Experienced Military Prep Football Coach John Marzka
Based in New Berlin, John Marzka joined the United States Military Academy Preparatory School football program in West Point, New York, in 2023. As the head coach and supervisory training instructor, his responsibilities include recruiting and player development for a team of 60-80 students. John Marzka prepares student-athletes for success as cadets at Army West Point, overseeing organizational and staff development, public speaking and communication, and supporting athletes in higher education.
Under the leadership of John Marzka, the US Military Academy Preparatory School won the 2023 Central Intercollegiate Conference championship. He also guided the team to a victory over Navy Prep on Veterans Day in 2023, allowing the team to take home the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy. He has earned numerous additional awards throughout his coaching career, including 2015 MAC Coach of the Year honors and the John C. White Head Nike Coach of the Year award in 2009.
John Marzka earned a degree in psychology from Allegheny College. He played football at Allegheny, including two years as a varsity starter. He co-captained the team that won the NCAA Division III National Championship and earned the Clair Jackson Outstanding Lineman Award, along with COSIDA-Champion All-American honors, among other plaudits.
